I'm actually really interested in this. I love the entire Star Wars series, and I've read a couple of the books. I mean, looking at Phantom Menace book vs. movie, there was a LOT left out. Can't wait for this one to make it's way to the theaters.

I'm actually really interested in this. I love the entire Star Wars series, and I've read a couple of the books. I mean, looking at Phantom Menace book vs. movie, there was a LOT left out. Can't wait for this one to make it's way to the theaters.

The main thing to keep in mind is that what's written in books are no longer considered canon to the Star Wars universe. In the Star Wars expanded universe, Han/Leia have three children - twins Jaiden & Jacen, and Anakin, with Jacen ending up becoming the Sith lord, Darth Caedus. And Luke SKywalker/Mara Jade will have a son named Ben.

What we're looking forward to finding out:

- Will Daisy Ridley play as Jaina Solo (as per the books) or as Kira Solo (as per numerous rumours)?
- Will the Sith lord in the teaser trailer be Darth Caedus aka Jacen Solo? Or will it be the Sith Lord who will train Jacen? Or some other Sith Lord altogether?
- Will Anakin Solo appear?
- Will Luke show up with Mara Jade, and will Ben Skywalker, their son, be in the movie?

and finally,

- Who will be at the helm of the Millenium Falcon?

A year is waaaaaaay to long to have to wait!

Well, it's been brought to my attention that the female is NOT Jaiden Solo. It's a very good possibility that she is in fact Mara, but, of course, no one is at all sure. I'm honestly following this a little too closely.....

Daisy playing Mara is a little far fetched given that The Force Awakens takes place 30 years after Return Of The Jedi. Luke will be 30 years older (in his 60s?) and the cute moisture farm girl we see in the teaser trailer is certainly a lithe youngster. Granted, Luke can certainly have a young Mara Jade, but considering the franchise is Disney's, I doubt it.

In addition, Mara would not really add anything to the Skywalker/Solo family dynasty that is the backstory for the entire Star Wars series. I would think continuity of the series would be to focus on Skywalker/Solo and their children. Mara and other characters may come in through as secondary characters, and then perhaps with side movies if the character proves popular.

My bet is still on Daisy being Jaina/Kira Solo.
