The Fappening - Now a community!

It's that time, guys. Looks like the Fappening (celebrity leaks) have slowed to nil. I think it's time we had a little bit of an update. As such, I've noticed a lot of things going on around here. As I said, I read literally every post. They all get downloaded to my phone via RSS. So, here's a few things I've seen.

1. There's a lot of appreciation for many different types of celebrities.
2. There's a long, long list for Santa to read.
3. I doubt there's going to be any sort of celebrity leak for a while.
4. We've got celebrities, models, sports players' wives, and the Snappening.
5. There's DMCAs flying around. A lot.
6. I suddenly really, really like Krabby Patties.

Alright, so the last one is probably the truest of them all.

Anyways, here's what I'm thinking. Going with a suggestion made once upon a time by @ernestoclark, I'm thinking it's time for some Random Drops. I'm also looking at revamping the forum structure to better suit things like Appreciations, Non-Celebrities (i.e. models), Photoshoots, and the like. I like the setup suggestion given by @Ghost, which is.....

Celebrities

Leaks | Non Leaks | Fakes | Photoshoots |etc etc

Amateur

Selfies | Camgirls | Teens |etc etc

Professional

Models | Appreciation Threads | Model Photoshoots |etc etc

So, it's poll time. Should we bring on the change, or keep it the same? Vote once. You've got five days to decide, everyone. Let's keep the Fappening alive!

Thanks for suggesting my structure. Everyone else, keep in mind that any sub-sections could be added(meaning there would be more than just what I suggested)

Really my only thought other than that is concerning making a "models" category. A lot of celebs are models and a lot of models are celebs. Might get confusing to users on where to post (I think we can all agree that we get enough non-leaks in the leaks section and fake pics in the leaks section that should either belong in fakes or "real or fake"). lol

What if the pic is a leak of a model? Does it go in the models section? What about a non-leak of a model, it could go into the celebs non-leak but it could also go into the modeling category.

Take Kate Upton for example, she's a celeb and her leaks would go in celebs, (I know her leaks are no longer here, but just using it as an example), but if it's a pic from a bikini shoot, it should go in the models section. But some might think it should go in the non-leaks/celebs section.

Know what I mean? I don't really have a suggestion or answer for it...just spitballing.

Yeah, what are "Random Drops"?

Ok, ok. By Random Drops, I mean pics of random females. Or males. Anyone that has leaked pics. Like, for example.....



That's a random female, that may or may not have wanted this pic to spread around the internet. She's not a celebrity, not famous. Just random. But she does have some nice tits.

And that, ladies and fappermen, is a Random Drop.

That's a good point. However, an easy way to remedy that is to Google the actress'/models name and see what comes first on their wiki. So for example, when you Google "Kate Upton"(model and actress) it says "Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" Upton is an American model and actress, known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue." therefore she would go in the model category. If you Google "Megan Fox"(model and actress) it says "Megan Denise Fox is an American actress and model. She began her acting career in 2001, with several minor television and film roles, and played a regular role on the Hope & Faith television sitcom." therefore she would go in the "Celebrity Category".

I do see how that could get confusing though. We could always put models in the celebrity category. I just thought it might be easier/look better to keep it all seperate and organized.

I'm in agreement here. Worst case scenario, if it's undecided where a model/celebrity should go, just post it, and if a GM feels like it belongs better in the opposing category, it can always be moved.

Sounds like a plan!

Oh, and I'm all for random drops.

I say yes to Random Drops and I like Ghost's structure.

16 votes..... Out of 1600 members..... Fappers, I am disappoint..... Honestly, that kinda tells me that it's definitely time for a change. We have over 1600 members, and maybe 50 members signed in over the last 24 hours. Only about 25 that have over 20 posts. Yes, the majority of the people that visit the forum over a 24 hour period are guests. So, I'm proposing that, despite the amount of votes in the poll, we make the change anyways. I am asking for someone that's not a mod or admin (which is myself, root, Ghost, and groot) to say yes. After that, another member (again, not mod or admin) to second the motion. No time period. Once that is done, I'll begin the process of creating the new forum look. This won't be something that'll be done in a day.

And for all it's worth, I think change is good. Now let's make this a leaker's paradise.

I second. Hopefully that drives more traffic to the forums and people will take the plunge and participate.

Well, I'd say we've got the main votes. Here's the way this will work, then.

First, the new subforums will be created. Once everything is set up, permissions in place, and everything is usable, the old subforums will be locked. A new set of rules will be put in place so there's no confusion. All new posts and topics will go in the new. That's when groot and Ghost step in.

Second phase is when all old topics get moved into proper place into the new. Topics will also be merged/deleted. When that's done.....

Phase three begins. Purging of all old subforums. The new look will be all we see anymore. I'll also be going to purge any inactive users so there's no huge amount of members for no reason.

If there are any questions or suggestions, please post them here. I'll see them in a pretty timely manner. I'll go ahead and say that no one will see the structure until everything is ready. And don't freak out if everything is disabled for a few minutes later.

So, instead of locking the old forums, I set things up using the old directories. I hope everyone likes the new looks. I'll be rewriting the rules very, very soon. I'll also be adding rules for each category, so there's a general set, and a specific set.

As of now, posts and topics will begin to be moved around. So, any new topics need to be placed in the proper forum now. Since the old subforums are now the new subforums, I won't be removing anything. Ghost and groot, now is the time to start moving topics. I hope everyone like the new look! Let's keep the Fappening alive! WE ARE THE FAPPENING!

One comment though: the Celebrities > Non-US Celebrities is a bit too fuzzy, unless you are planning detailed rules when it comes to determining the "US" part.

There are many mainstream Hollywood celebrities who are non-US citizens (Canucks, Brits, Aussies), and who may not even reside in the US.

I know what you're trying to sort through, but the title is just misleading.

Perhaps "International Celebrities"? "Non-North American Mainstream Celebrities"? "Non-English Speaking Celebrities"?

You've actually got a very, very good point there. I'll look into it, and change accordingly. It'll probably end up being "Non-English Speaking Celebrities".
