Well, guys, I finally got all the server-side tweaks ready to go for a game server up and running. It's called Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. If anyone is interested, I definitely need a tester. Shoot me a message if you'd be willing to run a test for me. Thanks, guys!!!

OK, so I quit trying to build a proper working server. Failed miserably.

However, for those that like MMOs, you should check out PSO2. It's all Japanese right now, but there is a patch. If you must know, I'm currently playing a female newman hunter (aka HUmarl) by the name of Chujeena. Hope on to ship 2 and send me a line! Just say LFM sent you, and I'll know exactly what you mean. :D Hope to see you there!!!

Well, I'll just give you the best link. I posted it earlier in the gamers thread.

Changed characters, too. Still on Ship 2. Sukaia. I'm the only one.

Well, it's more often called Tweaker. But yeah, there's an option to install directly from Tweaker. Patching takes place in Tweaker, also. As for actual sign up, there's an instructions page on that site. It's a little wonky, all in Japanese, but still possible. And you don't have to use Japanese to sign up. Just a heads up.

For anyone, if you sign up, PLEASE PM ME FIRST. I'll grab my user ID number, and we can both get free stuffs. I'm also more than willing to help you find a team, friends, and party groups (for quests). I'm also happy to help with power-leveling. I've had my most recent character online for 20 days, and I'm already at level 53. I love this game a LOT, and it's what I'm doing when away from the forums, besides work and sleep.

Step 1: Go back to http://pso2.jp/
Step 2: Ok, time to create a SEGA ID account so you can log in to the game after the download is complete. Click the big yellow SEGA ID Button on the left side of the screen.
Image
Step 3: A new window should open. In the blank box in the center, enter your email address.
Image
Step 4: Close that window and go to your email inbox. Click the link in the middle of the mail you just received from SEGA.
Image
Step 5: Fill out this page as shown in the picture and click the Next button (the button at the bottom).
[*Note: If you encounter a Japanese captcha box but don't have Japanese installed for your keyboard, you can copy and paste the Japanese letters from Wikipedia one by one to spell it out.]
Step 6: On the next page, check to see that your info is correct and then click the Next button at the bottom of the page (it's the top one of the two). If you made a mistake, click the other button.
Image
Step 7: Congratulations, you now have a SEGA ID account, but don't close this window yet. First we have to give your new account permission to play Phantasy Star Online 2; so click that button near the bottom of the page.
Image
Step 8: This new list is a page of all the games that use the SEGA ID service. Phantasy Star Online 2 is written in Japanese, but you'll find it right below MJ.NET for PC. Click the gray button under the PSO2 link to activate it on your account.
Image
Step 9: "Read" the licensing agreement and click the left button.
Step 10: All right. Your SEGA ID account is made and you're authorized to play PSO2.

I'm fucked. I got a captcha.... :(

Trying this. https://www.branah.com/japanese

GOD I hope this works.

Update: THANK FUCKING GOD......... the keyboard worked.

Now unsure if I need to do account permission .....

Took forever to download, and I'm on a high speed connection.
Add me on Steam, we can take screenshots and for a group. Broadcast too.

Yeah, the download is effing HUGE. Forgot to mention that. I'm running 12MB up and down, and it still took like 6 hours. Congrats on beating the Nihon-go captcha bossu. :D There is one permission to set at the pso2.jp website. Actually, I think it's in the Sega ID part.... Either way, you have to "give permission" to the game to access your Sega account. It's weird.

Screenshots can easily be done in-game already. As for Broadcasts, I know of one player that uses Twitch. It causes him serious lag, though. And if your IP is blocked by Sega (cause someone from the US did a DDoS, so they IP blocked ALL of the US at one point), broadcast + proxy = serious lag.

Where do I allow the game? Google Translate only helps slightly.

(Side Question) is the links to those photos permitted?

If you followed the signup guide at arks-layer, you should already be good to go for permissions. Yes, you can link pics here. Off-topic is just that. Off topic. As a side note, I can read some Japanese, so if you need help translating, I don't mind. :D

Another side note: I had my user ID number, and totally forgot to write it down. I'll post it here as soon as I get home. Currently at work.

Never expected this post to be this long. 8-)

Anyways, I was able to get numbers while at work, so we're in luck. ;)

If you start Phantasy Star Online 2 through the Friend Invitation System, you and your friend will receive many presents! When signing up, please enter the following details:

Your friend's Ship: Ship02:Ur
Your friend's Player ID: 12988281

The place to put this info in will pop up when you first log in to Ship 2. Can't miss it.

Yeah, I'll get it for you. Just PM me your info, and I'll take care of it for you. I'm off today, so I've got all night. :D

Well, now that I think about it..... I can do everything from my phone, even at work, so yeah, just PM me anytime. I'll get right on it. And for anyone else wanting to sign up and are having issues, just PM me any information. I'll definitely help you out. :D Side note, all information will be secure, and quickly deleted whenever your issues are resolved. :D

Just in case anyone needs to contact me easier..... I do have a broadcast set up with twitch.tv. Anytime I'm online, I'm watching the chat, so I can be easily contacted. The address is http://twitch.tv/sukaiagenji. And PLEASE don't mention the Fappening or LFM. Just say forums. I'll know what you mean.

Chrome extension.

The extension was originally only intended to help players signing up for PSO2 to be able to get past the Japanese sign up process. Beyond that, it also translates the SEGAID page, login menus, and provides a popup keyboard for Japanese input to help with the captcha boss.

Installing it now. Letting it download and install while I sleep.
