I think is time to add a anti spam feature around

its ruining the beauty here

I agree! Mon-Fri, this board gets spammed... then nothing over the weekends. It seems these spammers have 9-5 jobs just posting spam...

Kudos to the mod and assitant mods for manually banning and cleaning, but we definitely need a better solution...

And the bad thing they dont spam tits just random stuff so this is the major issue

I think it's only LFM that's helping maintain the forums for the most part. Forum spam is a PITA at first, but as you catch up and ban them as they come in, the numbers go down gradually until you hardly get any at all. It's always the worst at the start though.

Be assured that LFM is working on it when he gets on the site...

would it be helpful if we used the "report"-function to mark all spam threads ?

I'm sure that LFM will answer this definitively, but I don't think we need to report "all" of them. When one is reported, there are tons from the same username and if there are a lot, I'm sure he goes subforum to subforum to clean them up.

No, don't report everything. Sorry for the delay, guys. I've been away from home all day, and I'll clean up as soon as I get home. Over 100 messages will be deleted, and proper bans put in place.

Nice job with the Spam

Thankfully, I've been in contact with root, and he blocked the main IP spam address at the server level, so we shouldn't see the daily spam attacks that we've seen the past few weeks. I'll clean up daily, no matter what, though. THANKS, ROOT!!!

Another Monday and the spammers are right back at work. Ugh... Die, spammers, die!

What's worse is that they post while I'm asleep, and when I wake up, I've got 50+ notices that there's been posts, and 50+ of them are spam.....

They have a knack for doing that. The site I moderate I think they started to figure out that I checked in once a day, so would hit right after I checked. So I started just popping in numerous times a day, just to register a "hit" as me being online. It slowed a bit, but it was easier to catch them early on and limit the number of times they can post. It sucks.

At least right now, they're just posting their spam as new messages so we can still at least follow posts/threads. It would really suck if they started adding their spam into existing posts.

Before anyone says it, I've seen the huge influx of spam. Over 300 messages. Almost 400. Fortunately, they all came from one user, so I'll be cleaning those out later. Nobody freak out. I've also got a couple people that will be joining the moderators soon, which will help a lot. This has really become a job for more than one person, so welcome them with open arms. Thanks again, guys.

Edit: And there we are. 400 spam posts, 400 deleted. My hand is tired now..... Guess I won't be fapping tonight.
